At Lutheran colleges, we make a lot of claims about the value of the educational experience. That's not really anything new, though, just about any college worth its advertising salt says the same thing. So what makes us any different? Why are we so confident in our claims? Lots of research. The Lutheran Educational Conference of North America (LECNA for short) has spent the better part of the last decade engaging in large-scale survey and research projects, which you can find in detail here. These findings have
yielded the Lutheran college system a large bank of data to pull from when making claims of scholastic and collegial excellence.
These studies have covered a wide range of topics, from a decade-by-decade survey of alumni satisfaction to a college satisfaction survey. These studies and surveys have yielded very gratifying results mainly summed up by saying that our students (and their parents) are quite satisfied by the education they were able to get from Lutheran schools.
LECNA also provides other information, such as a "What to Look For in Planning for College" guide, in order to share proven plans and techniques to help parents and students figure out their college options. Feel free to browse for this or any of our other survey and report resources, and see why we are able to claim such satisfaction with Lutheran colleges. |
